This project is about creating material. Indeed, horsehair is a material that can be used for its intrinsic qualities. Thus, Bright Folding Horsehair, first of all, highlights its reaction to heat. It is by imposing a shape through a mold and a counter mold, that the woven horsehair will thermoform. In a second step, it highlights the transparency of this material. Indeed, when faced with a light source, horsehair reveals all its fibre and complexity. It is by highlighting these two characteristics that the lighted Bright Folding Horsehair project was born.

This project is about weaving horsehair at first. This material has severals characteristics that need to be known and used. Here, it is its heat reaction that make the thermoforming possible. By folding the weaves, it create a lights collection : horse haire is playing with light.
